Virginia Vivaldi is committed to discern and research ways for integrating humans to environments, from the microscopic to large scale, from the individual body to the social constructs, from the physical to the intangible dimensions.
After she accomplished a BA in Furniture Design at Politecnico di Milano (IT), she worked as a designer, archivist, assistant-curator in Antwerp (BE) and in Eindhoven (NL). She is co-founder, co-curator and gardener at The Garden Department, a sandpit regenerated as a flourishing garden and as an outdoor classroom. Between 2017 and 2020 she has been volunteering for activist organisations in the field of environmental awareness, food-waste saving, aiding refugees' expression. Since 2016 she researches the human body. Since 2020 she serves as embodiment coach and practitioner for psychosomatic well-being.
